The Cape Canaveral Monsters (1960)

saw this many years ago on a Friday night- the wonderful Sci-Fi Flicks on Channel 2, of course.  preceded by the super scary Outer Limits, this one was not quite what I thought it would be.

I mean, the monsters are little balls of light. and they are aliens, not really monsters.  they animate some people who died in a car crash (I remembered them causing the crash, but it appears not to be so) and stop several rockets.

it's not an awful movie by any stretch, and there are fun things about it, like the German scientist (Billy Greene) with what is possibly the worst accent ever and the acting is pretty good overall.

but I think when you promise monsters you should deliver monsters.  it only runs 68 minutes so it's not boring.  it's amazing that movies like this ever got made when you think about it.
