this is a cool little bit of stop-motion animation from the 1989 Godzilla movie. well, it was never used, but a stop-motion plant monster would have been really cool. there have been other stop-motion shots in Godzilla movies, I think the first three have several scattered about, but they are usually pretty quick shots. this was on a laser disc, I think.
a less convoluted script would have really helped as well, but that's another story.

I have never seen that! Godzilla looks great in stop-motion!
it would be cool to see one Godzilla movie in stop-motion, but I wouldn't want all of them that way.
Late to the party, but yeah, this was a bonus on the LD release. I think it was an experiment that didn't pan out, of which there were several on that disc. It was one fascinating collection of spfx footage.
