this is the Elvis that I really like, that early one. he's so ubiquitous that one forgets just how good he was. there's really not that much more to say about it at all, is there?
oddly enough, I've only ever seen a few of his movies, as they all seem like merely vehicles for him to sing in, as opposed to actual good stories. and yes, I know, that was the point, but I think Elvis himself would have liked to be in better movies. they aren't bad, but they aren't great.
