Southern Knights #10

"Knights and Shining Armor"

the battle rages on between the Southern Knights and the Guardsmen, I mean the armored Viper agents.  one of them is called "Iron Maiden" which has to be an homage to the T.H.U.N.D.E.R. Agents character.  of course, put any woman in a metallic costume and that's pretty much the first name everyone is going to call her.

anyway, it's an all action issue, with lots of jokes and some drama as first Dragon nearly gets killed and then Aramis gets shot.  the writing has really improved with far less of the clunky lines for the characters to spout.

that means they talk more like normal people, and that's a good thing.  Chuck's art is still improving, and has a little bit of Kirby and Ditko in it.  very nice.

the subplot with Viper is moving along at just the right amount of speed, to make us wonder what is going on.  it's a doozy!
