Hercules and the Three Headed Hydra

I used to see these cartoons occasionally on Channel 7's "Nole and Andy" show, which was a kid's show on early in the morning. I remember it had skits, the puppet "Nole" and then cartoons like this one. probably other ones, humorous, but I would have preferred these of course.

it's an interesting cartoon, made to cash in on the peplum craze of the time period, say about 1964. interesting that Herc had a magic ring to help increase his strength. the cartoons move along at a rapid pace, five minutes each.

I used to see these on TV, on some local kids' show hosted by an "Officer Joe"-type. IIRC, they also showed the Marvel Super Heroes cartoons, and maybe also some based on King Features comic strips (Popeye, Snuffy Smith, and Beetle Bailey).

I'd almost forgotten how annoying the centaur sidekick was.

Although the Hercules cartoons were probably trying to jump on the then-current peplum band wagon, the hero looked more like Superman (especially the 1941 animated cartoon version) than like Steve Reeves.
