I've written about my first viewing experience with this fine movie. the trailer is quite awesome though. I was talking about it to a friend of mine, mentioning the slight differences between the US and Japanese versions. In fact, I can only really think of one edit in the movie:
it's the appearance of the second Mogera robot, which shows up in the final battle. I didn't realize there was one until seeing it burrowing in the montage from "Godzilla Fantasia" almost 20 years ago. I thought I had missed it when watching the movie originally, but nope, it was edited out of the US version. really doesn't matter much, since it wasn't a factor in the end.
