I saw this angle unfold as it happened in early 1984. it was part of a tournament to face World Champion Ric Flair in Baltimore. Jack Brisco had already advanced, and Tim Horner had beaten Hawk with a clean pin (yeah, the Roadies never put anyone over). of course this ties in with this angle as well...
Ric was actually a face at this time, and Jack Brisco was the heel, which was surprising to many people at the time, apparently. this is a nice clean wrestling match between to actual faces. good stuff here. Brad and Tim later teamed as the Lightning Express. Brad passed away a few days ago. RIP.
