Tin Tin and the Golden Fleece

I've been watching this fun film for while now, off and on.  I wasn't very familiar with the character, other than knowing he is immensely popular in  Europe.  I have done a bit of research on the comic it's based on so I would know a few of the characters.  This is one of the first movies to feature the character.  I never saw the recent US movie, since I didn't hear much good about it, why bother?  Probably might be worth a rental, or a couple hours off Netflix at some point, but I've quite enjoyed this movie as I've meandered my way through it.

Our hero friend the Captain inherits a boat called "The Golden Fleece" and with it comes a mystery that takes our friends to Istanbul (or was that Constantinople?  I'm sorry, I can never resist that gag) and elsewhere around the world.

It's these two guys that have made me laugh the most.  I am not exactly sure who they are, but the audience must have known, as do our heroes.  They do help out, but as one can see, they aren't very good at disguises.

I'm happy that the dialog is subtitled, as my French is abysmal.  I do wonder why it was never brought over here and dubbed, as it's a fun little adventure movie with a young hero and his heroic dog, plus a very appealing cast of characters.

Those two are probably Thomson and Thompson (in French Dupond and Dupont).
