Abbott and Costello go to Mars (1953)

this is one of the movies I did see as a kid, and it's more fun to me than some of the other non-genre films the boys did.  I haven't seen it in probably 30 years though.  it holds up pretty well.Abbott and Costello Go to Mars and never make it to that planet. instead they end up in New Orleans and then Venus.  the boys also have to contend with some crooks that framed them for robbery.  it's all an excuse to show about 40 or 50 beautiful women in nice looking costumes.

works for me!  the effects, other than the girls, are also pretty nice, as are the sets, which were good enough to use later for This Island Earth (1955).  too bad the mutant wasn't around for this movie.
