This is the movie that started it all for me- first Godzilla movie, first Kong movie and heck, even first giant octopus movie. All things I still love to this day. As I've stated, I had no idea what I was seeing the day I was dropped off at the theater. For a six year old kid, this movie was fantastic. It was full of action, suspense and comedy, all things vital to an enjoyable movie experience.
I know some fans want this movie to be remade, but it shouldn't be. Kong would be just a giant gorilla and who knows how Godzilla would be portrayed. It would have to be super serious and that would just be boring. No way would either monster get a clear win this time like Kong did in this movie.
