The Wolf Man

I have always been a fan of the Wolfman, far more than most of the other classic monsters. I think a lot of this has to do with Marvel Comic's fun series "Werewolf by Night" which ran for 41 issues. He was far more sympathetic than Dracula, since he didn't choose his lot, and ostensibly was a good guy in several of the Universal movies featuring Lawrence Talbot.

This was not Universal's first try with a werewolf, or even their second. The hairy handed gent, who ran amok in Kent, was first in 1935, but I do believe his hair was a bit too perfect. Lon, Jr was just a better fit.
