MOTW- Zarab

 

Zarab has been talked about here before, but Blogspot won't let me edit those posts to include the Monster of the Week tag, so here he is again!  I do quite enjoy this episode, as it was the first Ultraman episode I had ever seen after a span of some 15 or 20 years.  It also features the first imitation Ultra that some being or group is going to use to turn humanity against whatever Ultra is around.  This trope has appeared in almost every Ultra show since this one.  Zarab has not appeared that much at all, but he is too fun to never appear again.

His evil Ultraman looks pretty great as well, but you will have to wait to see him until next week.  I will count that as a different monster, since it is a different look altogether.  His plan was a good one, though he didn't count on Hoshino being able to free Hayata.  I need to watch this one with the Japanese subtitles though, as it the US dub is vague about how this was accomplished.
