Sven- Invisible Agent (1942)

The Nazi powers want the invisibility serum made by Jack Griffin.  They accost Frank "Raymond" and let him know he is the grandson of Jack Griffin.  He refuses to sell to them, and manages to get away.  The US wants to use his serum, but he refuses them as well.  Then Pearl Harbor happens.  He then agrees to help, but on the condition he is the only one who uses the serum.  He parachutes down into Germany and finds the Ratzis looking for him.  He also runs into a beautiful blond, who may or may not be a triple agent.

This movie needed a bit more action.  It has the feel of a serial and probably would have worked well in that format.  The actors are all really good, especially the wonderful Peter Lorre.  He plays "Baron" Ikito.  I suppose no one knew that there were no barons in Japan.  There was no mention of the serum driving people mad at all, or that death was generally the only way to return to visibility.  Ilona Massey gets the top billing, which is interesting.

Next up- Abbott and Costello meet the Invisible Man
