HOTW- Tiger-Man (Atlas)

FROM WIKI- Tiger-Man is Dr. Lancaster Hill, a scientist who has isolated the chromosomes that give the tiger its strength and agility. He is in Africa while performing his 2-year internship, working from a village in Zambia that has been using the services of a local witch doctor named Na'Bantu. When the Na'Bantu has a conversation with the village chief, he seeks to punish Dr. Hill for having caused the villagers to doubt his ability to treat their medical problems. Overly eager to see the results of his work, Dr. Hill injects himself with a solution containing the tiger chromosomes. He feels his strength, agility and ferocity increase to that of a tiger.

I was really excited to see several new comic books on the stands in the summer of 1975.  They appeared out of nowhere, since I was only ten, and didn't know about CBG way back then.  Tiger-Man was my favorite, but somehow the first issues of all the zines were never seen in my area.  Then the company collapsed, and most of the zines got 3 issues, though a few got four.

The reasons for this were many and it is a fascinating story.  Revivals of the Atlas line keep being threatened, but none have achieved fruition.  I love the character enough to try to create a similar one.
