This is one of Lau Kar-Leung's better movies. It is a true movie about kung fu and the beliefs behind the fighting. I didn't care for it the first time I saw it, but after a few more viewings it was much better. Killing only begets killing, in the grand scheme of things. Sometimes it is necessary for it to happen, but it should be a last resort.

Challenge of the Masters (1976)
From Wiki- After his father refuses to teach him kung fu and he is constantly being beaten by rival school students, a young Wong Fei Hung (Gordon Liu) must train under Luk Ah Choy (Chen Kuan Tai) to avenge the evils being done by the rival school. It takes Fei-Hung a minute to figure out all the exact teachings of his sifu, since being kind to your enemy is not an easy thing to. Especially when that enemy is the talented Ho Fu (Lau Kar-leung). But he does learn, and turns that enemy into if not a friend at least someone that admires the Wongs.
