finished watching the first episode and our heroes do indeed possess the ability to channel former sentai. naturally the first one we see is the awesome GoRanger. though why does the yellow one (KiRanger) always have a greater change than expected?
so far the giant toy- that is, robot only showed up once, at the beginning. which was nice. I dunno how I feel about them using dolls- excuse me, action figures as their change device, but it's better than cell phones! I like the show so far!

I finally took the time to watch it, and I'll probably write about it later. There were more people snickering about the male blue Magiranger (originally a girl), while no one even mentioned the female Kiranger. I guess I shouldn't be surprised that people are just that juvenile.
Anyway, it looks more as if they are keys rather than articulated action figures (solid molding). Practically, you could use the toys as action figures if you wanted, and they'd probably be a lot cheaper. Nice marketing.
it's not awful (as far as transforming goes) but it's not very innovative. I know, sentai exists to sell toys, not vice versa.
looking forward to your thoughts. I like it so far. here's hoping a few more original actors show up here and there.
especially Mr. Miyauchi!
