I rarely go to comic book stores now, because comic books just aren't much fun any more. I went to my old one today. It was nice to see the place and the owner, but I don't miss these books at all. I mean really, what have they done to Carol?
Man, of all the various and sundry goofy deals, you pick one of the few I think is a GOOD thing! *laughs*
After jerking the character around since the mid-80s, Carol is the new Captain Marvel. Considering "Ms. Marvel" was very much a product of the 1970s, I think this is a good idea. After all, she actually has an organic connection to Mar-Vell.
Now, don't ask me which of the X-Men are currently dead, as I have no clue.
I feel your pain Dave. I hardly get comics much either, though I bother going by now and then and see what they have (bothered taking a pic of one shop to show the faint variety of titles they happen to had that day).
I really can't say I mind it. Dave's outfit had two good runs, and this one manages to have nods to both it and her first costume.
Her hair's a little bit different, but it's not like she's an iconic character. I've read too many Tumblr people complaining about how George Perez draws Power Girl's hair and I can't even muster the ambition to care.
