gosh these pictures are big! anyway, the first third of the movie establishes our heroes characters (really, was this necessary? who doesn't know who and what the Stooges are?) and shows them as kids. the kids do a decent job acting, but I think they should have given Larry a Fine head of hair, and have him be proud of it. that would have made the grown up Larry's hair funnier.
here's a rather famous pose. the boys are still doing their best shirking, but when they get going, they do their best working. which, as we all know, isn't so great.
I do believe this is a former sphincter boy coming to the orphanage to set up the rest of the plot. it's going to get closed down due to the bad economy and some unforeseen expenses. they need $830,000 or so to keep it open.
another funny gag. the actors playing the boys are doing a good job. there's some sub plot with a sick little girl... meh, the boys work best on their own, I think. we'll see how it goes. I might actually want to own this movie.
