Fridays was a rather lame and unfunny ABC version of Saturday Night Live, but damn did they have some great musical acts on the show. I posted this ten years ago, but that version is unavailable now. Some people think Ace made up the solo, but the band knew exactly how long he was going to play. Anyway, this is a great performance, even if Paul couldn't hold those high notes.

This performance , if nothing else , proved that songs from '' THE ELDER '' could work live . I might be mistaken , but Ace's solo from '' The Oath '' might 've been among the solos & lead licks that Ace contends were excised from the finished album by Bob Ezrin ... Still , I've always loved this clip & am glad it exists .
That's what I have heard as well. I would hope the demo songs were recorded and still in the KISS vaults- I would buy that super duper great Elder CD if it was released with extra cuts.
