This is the first Hammer Dracula movie and possibly the first one in color. It is pretty great, I must say. It follows the basic Dracula story, leaving out Renfield completely. Cuts had to be made, since the movie is only a perfect 82 minutes long. What it changes is we see fangs, red eyes and a lot of blood. Oh, and the lowest cuts on dresses ever. So a lot of sex, either outright or implied. There is also a lot more action, as Dracula is threatening and you believe it.
I am having a difficult time writing about this movie. There is so much available information out there now and I had no connection to most Hammer movies growing up. It's a great movie, that is about all I got.
Next- The Land Unknown
