Batman helps take down the Penguin, Oswalda Cobblepot. He realizes after that this has created a power vacuum for Rupert Thorne. During this adventure he meets ADA Barbara Gordon. Meanwhile, Bruce is still being a playboy and drinking with a rather sleazy DA Harvey Dent. Wayne even falls overboard whilst on the Penguin's cruise ship, the Iceberg. Barbara likes Batman's car.
This is a good first episode, with enough action to make it move quickly. Drama and humor are here, and we meet the right amount of characters. The time period is uncertain, much like The Animated Series was at first. This episode is very down to earth, though, no far out gadgets. The Batmobile is a bit tank-like, but I liked it fine enough. I hope we see Oswalda again, I quite enjoyed her. Also, Babs is a better choice for Bruce than Selina. There, I said it.
