Right from the first episode he meant business. That Gray Rhino had no clue what he was getting into, and neither did the viewer, but it sure had us hooked. Even me, who didn't get to see the series until the mid 90s when a Hawai'in station aired it subtitled. And I loved it. I can't imagine what impact it would have had on me as a kid had I seen it back in the day, but I think I would have loved it even more.
Thanks to KIKU and GenerationKikaida, we have great subtitled DVDs of both this and the sequel series. Sooner or later I'll have to do a feature on Kikaida in Xenorama, though he has been written aboutin both magazines and online extensively. Still, I am sure I could find something to contribute.

Haven't heard of this one. Japanese heroes often look slightly weird
the weird look is part of their appeal, I think. It's a great show, you should check it out.
