One of the many movies that KWGN would air on a regular basis was 1966's The Magic Serpent. The first time I saw this was late night on Sci-Fi Flicks, and there was no clue in the TV Guide as to what the movie was about. It probably just said "Japan; Fantasy" if that. Who knew it would be one of the best martial arts/fantasy movies around?
In this scene Ikazuki-maru takes on a number of ninja, all using traditional ninja weapons (i.e. no nunchaku or other such anachronistic things). Right away this movie shows us magic and monsters, the added ninja and samurai stuff is a great bonus.
