The story is a little complicated, but that happens when you condense 3000 year old myths. It's full of action and some decent special effects. The Shaws would improve in that department merely a year later. This isn't the best Chang Cheh/Fu Sheng movie, but it's a fun 90 minutes.

Nacha end card
Na Cha The Great (1974) is a fun fantasy movie from the Shaw Brothers. It's one of Fu Sheng's early roles, and he proves his star power. Na Cha is a figure from Chinese mythology. He is a demi god, but that was kept from him until he started killing obnoxious sea dragons and upsetting the local despot. He then sacrifices himself for his people and is reborn. He learns magic and then returns to right the wrongs the dragons and tyrant have done to the people.
