Poor Neronga. It was just hungry. Unfortunately, it ate electricity, which caused much consternation with the people in the area. It could turn invisible, which made people not believe there was a monster, and it could channel electrical bolts from it's horns. Ultraman stopped it, but killed the poor beast in the process. Back then, in the 60s, it was just another nuisance. Now the story would be trying to get it to a place where it could live safely without endangering humans. That could make a pretty good story.
Neronga was made from the Baragon suit. This was the first suit Tsuburaya reused for the show, and it would not be the last. Heck, this suit will return in a later episode as a different monster. This double duty is the reason given that Baragon didn't appear in 1968's Destroy All Monsters, but that was well after the suits had been used. It's not my favorite kaiju or Ultra story, but it's pretty good.
