This was the first monster from Ultra Q to be featured in Ultraman, Ragon would not be the last of these crossovers. The beast went unnamed in the US dub, as many monsters did, but we would not have known about the earlier appearance, so it's OK. It is human sized in Ultra Q, but in Ultraman is a giant, ray spewing monster. It is a great looking creature, that is for sure. Ultraman had to battle it to retrieve an atomic bomb that was attached to it's neck.
For as iconic a monster as Ragon is/was, it took decades to reappear, which happened in Ultraman Ginga. I've not seen that series, so I don't know how that version looks. It's apparently a full race of underwater beings.
