Diana makes a wish on an ancient "wish stone". Since she's been moping for dead Steve Trevor she wishes he would return to her. The Wish Stone is an ancient device from the Duke of Deception, and it takes a terrible toll on the wisher. Her new friend Barbara Minerva also makes a wish, to be more like Diana. Of course, she doesn't know about Diana's background. Finally, Maxwell Lord wishes HE could be the stone. This is ALL bad for everyone involved. Once Diana figures things out, the cure is to renounce the wishes. This is difficult for Max and Barbara, who has changed into the Cheetah. The Lasso of Truth helps Max, while the Cheetah gets shocked to slow her down. Oh yeah, and Steve has said goodbye to Diana again.
I quite enjoyed this movie, but, as one might guess, it is TOO DAMN LONG. How many times do we have to see a car chase, and have a truck flip over and fly through the sky? That whole scene could be excised and the movie wouldn't change a bit.
Other than that, it is interesting to see a movie where these is no real "villain". The cast is great, and Kristen Wiig is amazing, though I did not care much for her Cheetah get up. Go figure. Gal is a wonderful Diana, and I hope she gets to remain that way. The mid credits scene is lovely. But we should see her other plane.
