Two grave robbing idiots open up the Talbot family crypt and expose Larry's corpse to moonlight. This was a really bad idea. The werewolf curse returns and so does the Wolfman. Larry wants an end to his life and enlist the help of Dr Mannering and Maleva. The old gypsy woman tells Talbot of Dr Frankenstein, and eventually he meets the Baroness. Mannering tries to help him, but succumbs to the idea of reviving the monster completely. A moronic townsman blows up the dam and supposedly drowns the monsters.
I haven't seen the movie in a while. Last time was when Sven aired it, but I might have been doing something else as well that evening. It's really a fun movie, though it could have used a little more fighting between the Monster and the Wolfman. It's basically a Wolfman movie, rather than a Frankenstein movie. It's well directed and has pretty good continuity to the the previous movies. It's too bad all the stuff about the monster being blind fro Ghost of Frankenstein were removed, as was Bela's dialog as the Monster.
I think the opening of Frankenstein Conquers the World pays homage to this movie. It's a fun movie. I love all the Universal monster films to some degree, but rarely write about them because how much more can be said?
