In episode #14 of Mystery, Incorporated (yes, I love this Scooby Doo show) the gang are headed to the Mystery Solvers Club State finals. Scooby is sick, and they are going without him, since he is just the sidekick. Shaggy can't believe there are more clubs like theirs out there. Turns out there are at least three others in Crystal Cove for the finals. I didn't see Goober and the Ghost Chasers or Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kids, but it was a pretty packed cast already. Many shenanigans happen between the "sidekicks" of The Funky Phantom (and his cat, Boo), Captain Caveman, Jabberjaw, Speed Buggy and the villain Infernicus before everything is solved.
As I was watching this episode, many questions arose, such asL How does the gang explain the Funky Phantom being an actual ghost? They don't even bat an eye! Jabberjaw is a talking shark from the future? Speed Buggy is actually alive? Who thought Captain Caveman was a good idea?
As it turns out, it was all a dream an ill Scooby was having, possibly while under the influence of medication. There are toys of the other sidekicks in the room as well.
This really is a great show, and does bring together many of the Hanna-Barbera shows. I quite enjoyed these cameos and guest appearances for the most part, but seeing them turn the Blue Falcon into an even crazier version of Miller's Dark Knight wasn't that fun. This is my second time watching the show, and I don't remember all of the episodes. I do love the Hex Girls, though. There will be more episode reviews as I watch the show.
