MOTW Hollow Beast

 

This dreaded theropod ravaged a small town in Mexico.  It lived in a hollow mountain.  The species was an unknown theropodomorph, as it was the size of a Tyrannosaurus rex, but has the build of an Allosaurus fragilis.  Most of the the meat eaters that Obie designed were based on the original thinking that a rex had three fingers.    No one is going to yell at Charles R. Knight for that, either.  This is why Ray's critters always had them as well.  "It's not like we were making a documentary!"

I've always enjoyed this movie.  It is basically a cowboy movie with a dinosaur thrown in at the end, rather than a dinosaur movie featuring cowboys.  The Beast generally looks good, aside from a Gene $immon$ like tongue.  The animation is pretty smooth, though not quite as good as other movies.  It's nice to see in widescreen and in vibrant color.
