Kumonga is one of the best marionettes that Toho's effects crew ever devised, and that's saying a lot. It's a very creepy design and so well executed you forget that spiders don't really spit their webs. Just as well, the traditional method wouldn't be as cool to see.
The monstrous spider only appeared in three movies, SON OF GODZILLA, DESTROY ALL MONSTERS and FINAL WARS. This is a nice homage video, set to the tune of Alice Cooper's "Poison" which actually fits the beast. You get to see Kamakiras, Minya and Godzilla as well!
