Dark Star (1974)

Dark Star is a 1974 American independent science fiction comedy film produced, scored and directed by John Carpenter and co-written with Dan O'Bannon. It follows the crew of the deteriorating starship Dark Star, twenty years into their mission to destroy unstable planets that might threaten future colonization of other planets. that was from Wiki, now back to me:

I haven't seen this movie in probably three or four decades.  I remember enjoying it, but someone talked about it way too much and made me not want to like it.  I will have to watch it again.
