This isn't quite the original version I heard back in 1980 on the Dr. Demento show. Originally Ray Davies would not give Al his permission to use the music from "Lola" to do the song, but at some point he must have realized all the other cool kids, and even Nirvana, were doing it. It's a pretty dead on song, though no one at the time knew that there would only be three movies for what...15 years or so. We figured he'd make his next six movies every three years. How naive we were.
The video is pretty funny, put together with clips from THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK. Looks like it's the real version, with an actual muppet Yoda, just as he should be. It's been a long time since I've seen any of the sequels (mercifully with the last four) but perhaps it's time for another look.
