After reviewing the terror movie Darby O'Gill and the Little People, I have started to look at a few more of Disney's output from that time frame, say the late 50s to the early 70s. The Three Lives of Thomasina, The Shaggy Dog, The Gnome-Mobile, and several more all had magical characters in them, or magical elements characters used. I was surprised at all the rather interesting and occult-oriented. Since it is ostensibly set in England and is about witches and the like, I am sure the credit designers just looked for interesting images to use without much thought about it.
I like the movie a lot, I think. It has been an age since I have watched it, and this is the original two hour version, rather than the 139 minute restoration. That is on Disney+. but I am not sure all the footage needs to be back in there. I am glad that it was saved, though.
