This is one of Al's funnier videos and songs. I'll be honest here, I've never heard the original, nor do I even know what it's about. It can't be as good as this song, though (says the white and nerdy guy). It's interesting, I've found that I relate less and less to Al's songs these days, since I know less of the source material. He has to stay up with current music, but I don't.
I never had a question about who I liked better- it's still James Tiberius Kirk. I think Patrick Stewart is great, but Jean-Luc Picard is a stick in the mud 89% of the time. I'll have a late birthday post for the good Captain tomorrow. I do still wonder why ANYone would want that awful Star Wars Holiday special.
