I got the Blu Ray set of Batman: The Animated Series quite a while ago, I have not started watching it, though, because once you start, you kinda gotta go through Superman, the Justice League series, and Batman Beyond. That is quite a set of shows to get through. I decided to at least watch the first disc, and damn does this show look great. I didn't think it could look better, but danged if it doesn't. Bruce Timm introduces several of these early episodes, which is fun. The set was released in 2018, so I have had it for a bit. I had forgotten how good the show was, I mean, really good it is. There are the first two movies in here as well, plus all the extras from the DVD sets and even more! I have double-dipped on a few things, but this is really one that is worth it.
I did pass along the DVD sets to a worthy party. It did take Warner's quite a long time to get to get the series out on Blu, though. I sure hope they didn't clean up the specks and other "imperfections" since that is what makes traditional animation so great. There will be more reports about this set later on.
