666. The Night of the Curse of the Demon review!

                  How embarrassing is it to see my tag "Hallowe'en" now.  It is ever so pretentious!

Happy Halloween- Rex fears Emi!

Happy Halloween!  Since we talk about monsters year 'round, we thought a picture of the only creature a Tyrannosaurus rex fears would be appropriate.  Here is Emerald Sage letting Rex know who the boss is around these parts.  She was actually giving him a chomp on the head with her leg in the air like she just don't care, but the obstinate tortie in her decided to ruin that shot.  So we get this one, which is still pretty darn cute.  Of course, every shot of her is pretty darn cute, I must say.

"Here Comes the Hulk!" Xemnu, the living Hulk, first showed up in 1960, a few years before the green (and more famous) Hulk appeared.  He was later renamed The Living Titan.  It is a convict from an intergalactic prison world.  It turns up on Earth, with its energy severely depleted.  Good ol' Joe Harper (who looks a lot like Dr. Robert Bruce Banner), your friendly neighborhood electrician, is hypnotized by the Hulk.  He helps it revive, and then it wants to take over the Earth.  It actually does, and makes the enthralled people build it a new spaceship.  Joe is not hypnotized, so Xemnu can gloat, but hubris is its downfall.  Joe crosses the wires and sends the Hulk on an endless jaunt around our sun.  The people of Earth are freed!  No one but Joe knows what happened.

Tim Burton - This is Halloween (by Broken Peach)

                                            This is the first song from The Nightmare Before Christmas, a movie I like but don't love.  It is one I should love, but just don't, for whatever reason.  I do quite enjoy this version a lot though.  Broken Peach does a lot of covers of all genres, and are generally pretty fun to watch.

What a great trailer to a great movie. Possibly the best man in a suit monster ever. I've shared my love of this movie several times, but since we are so close to Hallowe'en, here's the trailer again (I'm going to assume any previous ones have been taken down already).

Curse of the Demon (1957)

easily one of the best of the 50s genre movies, "Curse of the Demon" almost always get viewed here at Xeno-Central on Hallowe'en. the story of witchcraft vs science here is just so well done and scary and suspenseful one can't help but watch the whole thing through.

it's a happy Hallowe'en here in Paradise!

i've had this odd experience- i still have two more episodes to watch, but somehow i don't want to finish the series. i think that would also then mean i really had to bear down and finish the book.

so i better get on with it!
