This was not the easiest movie to review right now, but damn, I am glad to have been alive at the same time as Tim Curry.

It is a really great movie, too!

This is another sad one, though also not surprising.  Tim was so great in all his roles.  He will be missed.

Back in Black - AC/DC

OK, it's not quite AC/DC, but it's pretty funny, and at a little over a minute doesn't wear out it's humor. I mean, anything with Beaker even acting a little serious is hilarious, and this is synced up pretty well with both him and the band.

Monsterpiece Theater - The 39 Stairs

I saw this once on Sesame Street in the 90s. It's one of the funniest things ever. I love Cookie and Grover and seeing them do an adaption... sort of... is just the best. As well as the clever little in jokes for the older viewers, I love those as well. I mean, Alistaire Cookie? That alone is worth it, and it actually just gets better as it goes along.

top 5 Beaker moments

only Beaker could make "Feelings" into a good song. and it's not even number one! I think Beaker got the loudest laugh when I saw "The Muppet Movie" way back in 1977. it's toward the end, if you want to see if you agree. Animal helps.

Statler and Waldorf

the two hecklers from the Muppet Show. when I first was watching it I really wanted to see these guys get their much deserved comeuppance. this did happen with Fozzy and a guest star (and I don't remember the comedian) in one of the seasons. that was very funny.

The Muppet Movie: Steve Martin Cameo

this is the way a cameo is supposed to work in a movie- where the guest star is funny, but adds to the movie instead of taking it over (see, or rather don't see "Mars Attacks" for example of bad cameos at work). Mr. Steve Martin works well with Kermit and Piggy.

Kermit on Koosbane

these segments were always fun. I think we saw Koosbane a time or two on Sesame Street, but I don't remember any more.

Debby and Kermit

there's really only two great songs about rainbows, and both come from movies. the first one is "Over The Rainbow" and then there's this one.

this is from the Muppet Show and host Debby Harry of Blondie fame sings it. it was great seeing Debby act and have fun with the Muppets back then. I think a few of those band members are actually smoking!
