Ten years ago I posted a video from YouTube with this version of the song.   I had said it was the only thing to like about this movie, and I still stand by it, but now it seems less funny.  Go figure.  How did this movie ever get made?

he's so funny and such a great banjo player. remember when comedians were actually funny? here's some of Mr. Steve Martin's early stand up, I'm assuming from the first and second albums. it's really great to see him live, since half the comedy is in his expressions.

The Muppet Movie: Steve Martin Cameo

this is the way a cameo is supposed to work in a movie- where the guest star is funny, but adds to the movie instead of taking it over (see, or rather don't see "Mars Attacks" for example of bad cameos at work). Mr. Steve Martin works well with Kermit and Piggy.

this is so funny. some of the humor is a bit dated, but overall it holds up well. Mr. Steve Martin is so funny, I wish he still did stand up.
