Official premise by DC Comics:

When the adventurous and inquisitive Jonny Quest and his adoptive brother Hadji make a startling discovery in the swamplands of Florida, they are pulled into an epic struggle between the Space Rangers and a dangerous villain who threatens the galaxy. Now it’s up to the combined forces of Team Quest, Inter-Nation Security, Space Ghost, and a host of Hanna-Barbera’s greatest action heroes to stop him and save their universe!^[1]

When I was younger I didn't like "funny" heroes.  I realize now that what I didn't like were the stories where the "heroes" only succeeded in spite of themselves, or through another agency such as a cat sidekick (yes Hong Kong Phooey, I'm looking in your direction).  Since I've gotten older I know that I like fun heroes, such as Atom Ant, The Impossibles and Underdog, since they still did all the super stuff and fought villains, even if the fourth wall got broken to bits by all the characters.  Now I am amazed to find out just how funny some of them were.

The Bubbler!

here's the baleful Bubbler, who takes on the incredible Impossibles!  he bubble-naps the young Shah of Shish Kebab, who calls him all sorts of alliterative imprecations for the entire episode.  Nothing much phases that kid.  Big D sends the Impossibles out as soon as possible!
