780. Climbing to the land of Lost Continent (1951) review!

 I do like this movie a lot, though it could use a bit of judicious editing.  Still a fun sci-fi adventure movie.

Lippert and Sigmund Neufeld, directed by Sam Newfield (Neufeld's brother) and starring Cesar Romero, Hillary Brooke, Whit Bissell,^[1] Sid Melton, Hugh Beaumont and John Hoyt.^[2]  Major Joe Nolan is the head of a South Pacific expedition to retrieve an atomic-powered rocket that has vanished. This is a very busy, and rather obviously edited US theatrical cut (not on the DVD, but from the Italian version).  It is pretty good, though.

729. Jason and those thievin' Argonauts! 1963

                     Another of Ray Harryhausen's classic movies gets reviewed here.  It has a couple flaws in it, though nothing that ruins the movie.

                 This is my least favorite black and white Harryhausen movie, but I did quite enjoy this viewing of it.  Go figure!
