780. Climbing to the land of Lost Continent (1951) review!

I do like this movie a lot, though it could use a bit of judicious editing.  Still a fun sci-fi adventure movie.

Lost Continent 1951

From Wiki-  Lost Continent is a 1951 American black-and-white science-fiction film drama produced by Jack Leewood, Robert L. Lippert and Sigmund Neufeld, directed by Sam Newfield (Neufeld's brother) and starring Cesar Romero, Hillary Brooke, Whit Bissell,[1] Sid Melton, Hugh Beaumont and John Hoyt.[2]  Major Joe Nolan is the head of a South Pacific expedition to retrieve an atomic-powered rocket that has vanished. He is accompanied by pilot Lieutenant Danny Wilson, aircraft mechanic Sergeant William Tatlow and the three scientists who built the rocket. Back to me:

Caveman 1981

I have written about this movie a time or two before, but never with an actual review.  Though I did a very early episode about it on my podcast, that was pre-YouTube and me knowing more about such things.

I wrote about this movie a couple years ago here, and it is available on Tubi to watch for free!  So I am over halfway through and...

Goliath and The Dragon 1960

This is a very busy, and rather obviously edited US theatrical cut (not on the DVD, but from the Italian version).  It is pretty good, though.

729. Jason and those thievin' Argonauts! 1963

Another of Ray Harryhausen's classic movies gets reviewed here.  It has a couple flaws in it, though nothing that ruins the movie.

Jason & The Argonauts (1963) Trailer (1080p)

Here's hoping this will stay up, rather than the one I put up some twelve and a half years ago.

703. Earth fights the Flying Saucers in 1956!

This is my least favorite black and white Harryhausen movie, but I did quite enjoy this viewing of it.  Go figure!

I spend about a fifth of the running time of this movie talking about it.

Mosaurus? Really?

I'm not buying it.  Why would they make a new model for this one short shot?

Taurus from Equinox

Here is a great shot from the movie Equinox (1970 version, though it will be the same shot from the original).  It is a testament to the kids who made the movie, though.
