Just started the final episode of the series. It seems to me the producers had to know the series was over. The loss of Spencer Milligan was too much- even for me as a kid I was kind of over the show. One can tell the scripts had been written, or some of them since Uncle Jack acted just like his brother in many of the episodes. The third season changed many things, probably too many things. There were several good episodes, but too many new characters and menaces were added, plus many of the stories seemed like standard Saturday morning fare. Not even Lulu was gonna save this season.
At least they still had the dinosaurs and other prehistoric animals. Most of the shots were stock footage, though, aside from Torchy and the aforementioned Lulu. I liked the Repairman story a lot, and I am still sure Blandings was a Time Lord. He was sent there to put right what once went wrong.
