Villain of the Week- King Cobra
King Cobra is a legacy name used by several super-villains in the DC Universe, usually antagonists to Batman and the Batman Family. The original and most famous was a Gotham City crimeboss and leader of the Cobra Gang who wore a green snake costume. In the Prime Earth continuity, King Kobra is Jason Burr, leader of the Kobra Cult.

HOTW- Batwoman (Kathy Kane)
From Wiki- In the original Pre-Crisis continuity, Kathy Kane, a wealthy Gotham City
heiress and former circus performer, decides to use her skills and
resources to become a costumed crime-fighter. This is partly out of
altruism and partly to attract the romantic attentions of Batman. During
the Silver Age of Comics,
Batwoman guest-starred occasionally in Batman stories published from
1956 to 1964. While Batman wished for Kane to retire from crimefighting
due to the danger, she remained his ally, even when she temporarily
became a new version of Catwoman. In 1961, Batwoman was joined by her niece Betty Kane, alias Bat-Girl.[8] Kathy and Betty were romantically interested in Batman and Robin, respectively. Robin seemed to return Bat-Girl's affection, while Batman remained aloof. back to me!

A Batgirl Music Video
Since I've already posted both videos to Clashing Plaid's excellent "Be My Batgirl" song, here's another swinging video set to some really groovy tune. If anyone knows the name of the song let me know, it's pretty great.

RIP Yvonne Craig
Yvonne Craig passed away yesterday. She was 78 years old, which surprises me, I guess I never figured Barbara Gordon would really age. I never knew just how many shows she had acted in growing up; heck, she was in Star Trek as one of those green skinned girls that populated the show from time to time. The only show I wanted to see her on was Batman. The more superheroes on a show the better I would think back in those halcyon days of youth, and when that bike roared across the screen I was happy to see it. I'm pretty sure this is where my love of purple started.

Xenorama #19 on the move
So far I've only got two pages of the next issue done, but I'm expecting the Prince Planet episode guide to take up quite a few pages. So if anyone is so inclined to contribute, get your articles in now! I've also got articles on Thunderbirds Are Go! (the movie) and La Mujer Murcielago (1968) which you can read a bit about here.

Batman The Complete Television Series
This is the best news a fan could wish for on Batman's 75th birthday- the complete 60s TV series on blu ray and DVD. It says it's chock full of extras, which should be just great. No idea what they are, but it won't stop me from getting the set.

Be My Batgirl (second version)
The first version is here, and here's a fun second version done by the same people. You know what? I still love this song. And now that I've learned how to play it, I love to perform it as well. Sometimes I get tired of hearing a song after listening to it a lot, but it hasn't happened to this one. And it's been at least a year!

Batman 1968 - The Jigsaw Jeopardy
I'm still surprised that these cartoons have not been released to home video due to the success of the recent Batman movies. probably too comic booky for the current audience now. maybe with the marketing of new merchandise based on the live action show we will get both shows on DVD. hard to believe that's Ted Knight now. the cartoon is very much based on the tv show at the time, complete with cliffhangers and such.

Be My Batgirl video
this has been my favorite new song for a couple months, heck, almost half a year now. Clashing Plaid is a great band and it's really catchy. I was going to make a video of it myself, using pictures of all the various Batgirls that have been around, starting with the original Betty Kane version. never got around to it though.
