For some odd reason, nice Dr. Komyoji is working for evil Professor Gill and the DARK organization. They are making androids for a mysterious reason- so mysterious the viewer never knows what exactly it is. Perhaps he realizes what is going on, and creates a second son, Jiro, who is also Kikaida. Kikaida will battle the DARK Destructoids. Jiro has an incomplete conscience circuit, which is his only weakness. Professor Gill has a powerful sonic flute which causes Kikaida much pain and could bring him back to the DARK side. Kikaida is very powerful, and has a wide array of ending strikes. He also rides about in the Side Machine, an incredible motorcycle with a side car. DARK doesn't have a chance.Kikaida was quite popular in Japan, enough to have a sequel series, Kikaida 01. However, it was huge in Japan in 1974. So much so that Ban Daisuke would make appearances at stage shows. I met him in San Diego in 2002, he was a great guy. How has it been so long?
