Find me one kid at that age that did not go through this on Yuletide Eve. Usually after getting yelled at by our parents for going bananas due to all the stress of waiting. I don't ever recall Santa using such colorful metaphors at all, though. Of course, we went to bed at 7 PM at that age, is it any wonder we were up at 5 AM Christmas Day? And we were good kids!
I always enjoyed Calvin's trials and tribulations around Yule season. Especially once the Noodle Incident was mentioned. That was a fun mystery added to the strip. I am glad it was never shown or explained, so the readers would make up their own minds about what went on.
