This is a cool shot of the standard 50s science lab. It could come from about any movie, but this time it is from Monster from Green Hell (1958). This is a great looking shot, and knowing how Green Hell was made, it could have come from just about any other movie the filmmakers could lay their hands on. The labs look so cool, art deco futuristic stylings and all. You just don't get cool looking buildings very much these days.
It's such a cool shot for such a... oh, what's a good adjective for adequate movie? It's not really as bad as people say it is, but there's a big chunk in the middle that could be edited out and it would not make a difference to the film, aside from improving the pace.
