New Year's Day, U2, Live at Red Rocks

I have talked about this concert before, though I am not sure that clip is still available.  I was at this show in May of 1983.  If I slow the DVD I have down, I can see people I graduated with in the front row.  It really was a great concert.  The Divinyls and the Alarm were supposed to open for them (they took the place of Little Steven and the Disciples of Soul, who I had really wanted to see) but the weather stopped those bands from showing up.  I wish I had seen both of them, now.

Watching this concert... U2 all look SO young. No one knew what they would mutate into, how they would grow as artists.  I like a lot of their songs after this era, but these really are my favorites.
