RIP Kirstie Alley

 Kirstie Alley passed on yesterday from a short battle with cancer.  She is perhaps best known as the woman who replaced Shelley Long as Sam's sort of love interest in Cheers.  I'll admit, I did not watch the show much after Long left.  This is not a knock at Ms. Alley, but the dynamic of the show had changed and it just didn't seem as funny to me.  I liked her best as Lt. Saavik in 1982's Wrath of Khan. She was a funny woman, and was quite successful.  Thank you for the memories.
